The CANDELA association is delighted to welcome you to a new season of Cuban salsa classes. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, come and share a passion for Cuban dance in a warm, lively atmosphere.
Our classes are designed for all levels, allowing you to progress at your own pace while having fun. Join us for an unforgettable experience and discover the richness of Cuban culture through dance.

Cuban Salsa
Discover the basics and advanced figures of Cuban salsa.
Rueda de Casino
Discover la Rueda : a circle dance in which partners change through a sequence of synchronised figures.
Cuban Son
Learn the traditional style that influenced salsa.
Styles: reggaeton, reparto, hip-hop, etc.
Develop your expression, musicality and style through movements inspired by timbatón (Cuban reggaeton) and hip-hop, naturally incorporated into suelta and la Rueda sequences.
Timba
Discover Cuban timba, a modern style of music and dance rich in rhythms and Afro-Cuban influences, where energy, musicality and expression take centre stage.
Rumba
Immerse yourself in traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms.
Afro-Cuban Dance
Immerse yourself in dance traditions inherited from Africa, enriched by Caribbean culture and now celebrated around the world.

As part of the Arsmondo Îles Festival, organized by the Opéra national du Rhin, the association Candela Strasbourg is delighted to represent the island of Cuba with a 100% Cuban salsa evening.

In the Salle Bastide, an elegant and welcoming space at the heart of the Strasbourg Opera House, perfect for a Cuban immersion.
Two events open to everyone aged 18 and over:
7:00–8:00 pm – Beginner Cuban Salsa Class
A class accessible to everyone, even if you have never danced before. No partner is required: we guide you step by step in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
8:00–10:30 pm – Cuban Salsa Dance Party
Let the party begin! Extend the experience with a dance evening inspired by the spirit of Havana. DJ Don Juan will be on the decks, taking you on a journey through essential Cuban sounds and hidden gems that will keep you dancing until the end of the night.
Class: 7:00–8:00 pm (Fee: €6 – Open to all)
Party: 8:00–10:30 pm (Free entry – Open to all)
To keep you refreshed, the Opera café bar will be open for the occasion.
Come learn, practice, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, and celebrate Cuba with Candela Strasbourg at the Opéra national du Rhin.
